OSRAM SYLVANIA Helping Theatres Illuminate their Performances with “Let KREIOS Light Your Stage” Contest
Powerful, Long Life, OSRAM LED Work Light Fixtures Now Available
10.23.2015Are you affiliated with a theatre that could benefit from high quality light? North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA is announcing the "Let KREIOS® Light Your Stage" Contest which will reward two theatres with twelve OSRAM KREIOS FLx LED fixtures each to illuminate their playhouses with superior light. OSRAM SYLVANIA unveiled the contest at LDI 2015, a leading global tradeshow and conference for entertainment lighting professionals.
“Almost every night across the country, romance, excitement, drama and intrigue comes alive on theatre stages, large and small. We know that many theatres struggle with tight budgets though, which often results in not being able to utilize the latest lighting solutions. This is why we created the ‘Let KREIOS Light Your Stage’ Contest,” said Mark DeLorenzo, entertainment business manager, OSRAM SYLVANIA. “Dedicated cast and crew, on and off stage, pour their souls into each and every performance, and we want to help bring those shows to life under exceptional light.”
Available now, KREIOS FLx LED Fixtures provide superior illumination of the stage during set construction and rehearsals. They deliver a high luminous intensity equal to 500W tungsten fixtures but using only 90W, delivering 80 percent energy savings which can translate into lower electricity and cooling costs. The fixtures have a 5000 lumen output, a warm 3500K color temperature, and a high CRI of 92 which helps ensure reliable color rendering of costumes thanks to OSRAM OSLON® LEDs. With a life rating of 40,000 hours (L70), twenty times more life than traditional halogen work light fixtures, the LED flood lights also provide significant savings in replacement lamp and labor costs.
Compact, lightweight, and easy to install, the fixtures also have passive cooling, which makes them completely silent, and the black housing color maintains low visibility when not in use. The diffused glass reduces glare and the fixture delivers no UV/IR emissions, providing for a more comfortable workspace. The IP65 outdoor-rated fixture is also dimmable and includes a gel frame, enabling quick and easy color changes.
